About the Game

Peek ‘n’ Boo is a 4 to 8 player party game, where communication is key! One blind and one seeing, 2 players must work together to gather, glaze and sprinkle donuts, and get them home safely. But beware – there are other teams hot on your tail. Able to ‘bonk’ your donut out of your hand, you will need to look out for thieves waiting for you in the dark.

Peek ‘n’ Boo was created as part of Global Game Jam 2021.

Peek

The eyes of the operation, able to see the players and environment, but unable to locate the donuts. Peeks must guide their partners to the correct locations and back home, all while avoiding other donut-hungry Boos. 

Boo

Boos are hungry for donuts, and they can smell them from anywhere on the map. Able to see the donut through walls, Boos must tell their Peek where they need to go, and safely carry the donut to victory.

 

Power-Ups

There are 4 power-ups available to find in Peek ‘n’ Boo…

• Peel: Drop a slippery banana peel to trip up your foes, stopping them from moving.
• Steal: Charge at and steal a donut from another Boo.
• Wheel: Speed up or slow a Boo’s movement.
• Conceal: Blind an enemy Peek for a short period.

Find these around the level and use them wisely!
